ARTIST STATEMENT
After leaving the pressures of her stressful executive-level job, Deidre fell in love with acrylic painting. Her whimsical style adorns the walls of high end modern homes in New Canaan and Greenwich, CT.
After gaining local attention for her youthful pop-style animal portraits, artist Deidre Lane found ways to bring her art to those who might need it most: children. In an effort to add even a hint of brightness to dark and scary times, Deidre began donating her pieces to children’s hospitals programs around the United States.
Some of her donations include:
- Detroit Children’s Hospital – 52 Prints to Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s Neuro-Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NeuroNICU), Detroit, MI
- Association to Benefit Children, Harlem, NY
- Kentucky Children’s Hospital, Lexington, KY
- Local Pediatric Units in CT
Deidre resides in Greenwich, CT. She enjoys walking at the beach, cooking, golf, her children and of course all animals, big and small.
