Artist Deidre Lane is known for her joyful, pop-style animal portraits—work rooted in color, optimism, and a deep love of family and animals. Inspired by her children and three grandchildren, Deidre’s art is guided by a simple belief: art should feel happy, comforting, and approachable, especially for children.
After gaining local attention for her bold, youthful animal paintings, Deidre felt called to bring her work into spaces where it could make a real emotional impact. She began donating her art to children’s hospitals and pediatric programs across the country, hoping to offer moments of brightness during difficult and uncertain times.
Her donated works now hang in children’s hospitals and care centers throughout the United States, including:
- Detroit Children’s Hospital – 52 Prints to Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s Neuro-Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NeuroNICU), Detroit, MI
- Association to Benefit Children, Harlem, NY
- Kentucky Children’s Hospital, Lexington, KY
- Local Pediatric Units in her home state of Connecticut
Deidre finds her greatest joy in her children and three grandchildren. She loves and cares for all different animals, enjoys cooking, and perfecting her golf game alongside her husband. She splits her year between Greenwich, Cape Cod, and Lakewood Ranch—and never misses a Giants game (with a soft spot for the Buffalo Bills).
